Maraú - Dendê Coast

The Maraú Peninsula was recently discovered by Bahia's people and tourists, but the ancient natives tell that the place was already visited by writer and aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, who is the author of "The Little Prince". From the higher part of the city there's a viewpoint that makes possible to see the Maraú estuary and the lowest part of it. The main beaches of Maraú are Taipus de Dentro, Barra Grande and Tremembé. How to get there - Overland Through Itacaré: go to Itacaré by car, then take a balsa to cross the sea. After that, take a 6 km road until the junction with BR-030 (road). You will spend around 30 minutes to arrive at your destiny by now. Through Ubaitaba: go to Ubaitaba by car, then you take Vasco Neto avenue until 27 de Julho square. After that, take Presidente Vargas avenue until the street covered with asphalt that joins the center of Ubaitaba to Faisqueira district. Arriving there, take BR-030 (road) until Maraú. - Sea Through Salvador: cross All Saints' Bay by the Ferry-Boat system and then take the BA-001 (road). After passing through six cities - Nazaré, Valença, Taperoá, Ituberá, Nilo Peçanha and Igrapiúna - you will finally arrive in Camamú. From there the crossing to the destiny can be done by ship. Through Ilhéus: take the BR-101 (road) until Travessão city, where you leave BR-101 and take BA-001 until Camamú. It's possible to cross from there.
