The revelers who will enjoy the Carnival in Salvador can now celebrate. Portal iBahia launches, in partnership with Sascar, another edition of 'Onde Está Meu Trio? / Carnaval24h'. This project was awarded by the International Newsmedia Marketing Association (INMA) in 2012 and is back with some news. It's available in versions for smartphones Android and IOS now. The new app is simple and practical and provides the main functions for those who want to enjoy the revelry in Bahia's capital.
Besides the photographic coverage and the complete schedule of the party, the app 'Onde Está Meu Trio?' offers a service of locating electric trios in real time. Using GPS technology, the revelers who own smartphones may, at any time, know where one of about 100 electric trios splitted among the circuits Dodo (Barra - Ondina) and Osmar (Campo Grande) are. Integrated with Facebook, the app also gives the user the option of sharing photos with friends. "We understand that all content must converge to cellphones and, thinking about it, we have developed this application. It's going to offer users an interesting navigability and important new services", says Luis Moreira, executive manager of iBahia. "Onde Está Meu Trio?" means "Where Is My Trio?". But, what's is a Trio? Trio Elétrico (Eletric Trio) is a kind of truck or float equipped with a high power sound system and a music group on the roof, playing for the crowd. It was created in Bahia specifically for Carnival and it is now used in similar events in other districts and countries. The idea was introduced in 1949 during a carnival in Bahia by the duo Dodô and Osmar. |
